Position Title: Marketing Associate

Location: San Diego, California

Position Summary:

Assist in marketing and promoting of BioFluidica’s LiquidScan™ for liquid biopsy.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite – comfortable with use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communicator, knowing how to share project status, issues of concern, and lessons learned. Proactive and motivated to learn and succeed.
  • Ability to travel for tradeshows and conferences. Experience with marketing automation software or email platforms is a plus.
  • Plan and coordinate events and tradeshows.
  • Manage the execution of the corporate email and marketing automation program per given strategies.
  • Build and manage lead generation forms.
  • Assist with the development of marketing campaigns and messaging.
  • Proofreading of marketing copy in print, digital, and email.
  • Compose copy, as required, for print, digital, and email assets.
  • Coordinate ordering & delivery of new printed collateral or marketing giveaways.
  • Work with vendors to obtain quotes for approval.
  • Manage inventory of marketing assets – collateral, giveaways, and tradeshow materials.
  • Primary liaison with 3rd party advertising vendors, ensuring vendors have information and content that is accurate and delivered on-time.
  • Data management & curation of product lists for 3rd party listing sites. Identify and propose website corrections and improvements.
  • Assist on special projects and campaign initiatives with assigned duties.
  • Gather and monitor metrics for email, marketing automation, 3rd party product listings, and website performance.
  • Other activities as assigned per department needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biological discipline is preferred 0-2 years of marketing experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

Position Title: Quality Control Scientist, Full-time, on site

Location: San Diego, California

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Scientist will perform work required to ensure product quality is maintained at company standards.

The successful candidate will thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Under minimal supervision, you will conduct laboratory experiments, including organizing data and analyzing results in a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) setting. You will design and conduct complex laboratory experiments to develop new methods or improve existing methods for use in testing and characterization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with the Production team inspecting materials and products to meet internal and external specifications
  • Document any production issues with materials, production process, and/or machinery
  • Conduct batch record reviews
  • Develop new methods or improve existing methods used for in-process monitoring, product release and compliance - Assay qualification, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Perform routine to complex laboratory analyses and experiments without supervision.
  • Write and revise Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and technical reports.
  • Bench-top testing of Raw-Materials, In-Process, and Finished Products
  • Investigate deviation or out-of-specification results in QC laboratory and create Non- Conformity Reports
  • Coordinate stability testing and inspect historical trend reviews
  • Maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments, as required.
  • Collect and analyze data to be presented to management team
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in the Biological Sciences, Bioengineering or Chemistry with 3- 5 years of experience performing quality control activities in the biotechnology industry and 3- 5 years of assay development. 2 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Successful candidates are expected to be motivated, adaptable, innovative, responsible and produce quality results
  • Must be able to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skill to analyze and determine root cause for production errors or product failure
  • Must have solid organizational skills and high level of initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, prints and other related documents to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Ability to work in teams as well as independently.

Position Title: Research Director, Full Time

Location: San Diego, California

Position Summary: Direct and expand a multidisciplinary research team to optimize molecular and cellular processes. The position requires high technical and interpersonal skills to direct Ph.D. level personnel and advise on experimental design, trouble shooting and problem solving in the field of circulating tumor cells, and other liquid biomarkers for diagnostic applications.

Responsibilities Include: Direct liquid biopsy research program and team.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. plus 5 years of industry experience or outstanding demonstrated capabilities to lead through example in highly a technical environment to obtain results. Knowledge of molecular biology including DNA, RNA, NGS work, cell biology, including ICC, cell morphology, cell culture, flow cytometry, experience with liquid biopsy including tumor cells, CTC, and cell free DNA, blood based diagnostic analysis is a plus. Experience in liquid biopsy, strong molecular and cellular background in trouble shooting and assay development are important. The position also requires the expansion of the patent estate and insight into the diagnostic assay markets. You might not know everything, but you know how to find the information and make it work. The position is very versatile and requires a can-do attitude.

Position Title: Sales/Business Development Manager, Full Time

Location: San Diego, California

Position Summary: Participate in our Commercial Team goal development and implementation for business and revenue growth. Researching prospective accounts in target markets. Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.

Responsibilities Include:

Direct liquid biopsy research program and team. Accountable for building and leading the sales function for instrument, software and consumables business. This role will lead to sales that to academics, biopharma and diagnostic companies and will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth across the business and product lines within the company. Responsible for leading and executing all sales activities and the team to develop and execute a sales plan that will drive business growth to increase revenues and profits. Collaborate extensively with key stakeholders within the business. Additionally, this role is responsible for all aspects of the sales process including leading the development and implementation of best sales practices.
